Looking forward to this week after missing a week. Got handicap down last time out and looking for more of the same. Think bogey Bayley!
OK Here we go. The season is upon us and I'm determined to get at least two shots off my over-inflated, but stubbornly earned, handicap. No more cavalier golf for The Chipster, just bogey every hole. Just Do IT!
Now I'm a pretty lucky guy when it comes to keeping dry. I've been soaked to the skin five times this year, and ....... all in August. August you were a shocker and I'm glad your gone. This week is a busy week, Friday playing in a society day at Knott End, Saturday a betterball stableford at Didsbury and then the big one. Sunday morning, me and my doubles partner Phil play in the semi-final of the Betterball Knock-Out. Tee=off time is 09:30 but don't worry if you can't make it as its live on Sky Sports Extra. Watch this space for a full run down of the week's acitivity
Got out of bed on Saturday morning looking forward to a stroll in the sunshiiiiiine. Well after all it was the 1st August! Started with a par then started going downhill rapidly! We'd played nine holes when the heavens opened and I thought I'm outa here, don't want to ruin my BM clobber. So beat a hasty retreat back to the safety of the clubhouse. Playing in Centenary Cup on Wednesday and then a four-ball ko on Friday. (Weather permitting) Can't believe this weather for August!
It's the penultimate summer medal on Saturday. I need a good score. Last week I was dreadful. If it wasn't a stableford I'd definitely would have been over the ton. Still it was great weather in good company wearing top bunker clobber!
