Thanks Chad for a great 9 holes over the weekend @ Pender Harbour Golf Club, Sunshine Coast, BC, Canada.
Well my clubs have finally made it across the Atlantic and then across the width of Canada. Have managed to get out a couple of time's but to say the swing is rusty is an understatement. I will keep you all up to date with the progress!!
Had a great day with the GTOUR guys at the weekend. A very well organised Amature Golf Event. On a personal note everything was going fine until two four puts (the greens had just been holentined) and a cracking snap hook into the water on 17th ended the challenge. Still longest drive of 293 yards helped the beer go down at the 19th. Looking forward to the last one on November 7th.
Whilst Phil Edwards is hacking around Australia (hope all is going well Phil), PGA professional Tim Martin has taken up the reigns of the Dave Corke swing in progress. Had a great lesson this week, working on staying up right through the swing and not leaving the club face open at the top. After 100 thinned balls on the range, its starting to take shape. Hitting straight shots at a very penitrating angle. Lets see if we can take this to the golf course.
Now then all you design doods at Bunker, you must remember that many of us live right here in sunny blighty!!!!. Well sunny blighty in the morning, rainy blighty in the afternoon. Rainy blighty means very bad stains on white bunker trousers. Please can we have some non white strides soon. Just a sugestion!
Coxmoor got well and truly "BUNKERED" yesterday with me wearing the full chef's jacket outfit. Turned a few heads on the first tee and the swing held together quite well. All in all I had a great day with the Sanctuary Golf Society Lads on wonderful golf course.
Played at Sandilands Golf Club yesterday in an AM AM with a few of the lads on an away day. Isn't Links golf great with the wind behind. Front nine level par, not a problem in site. Back nine, 449 yard par 4. Driver, 3 wood, 9 iron, 3 putts. LOVE IT!!!!
Please can anyone tell me why I can swing perfectly for 16 holes and then look like a complete beginner.
The lessons over the winter has certainly stopped the block right but now the snap hook has raised its ugly head!!!!
Knocked it round Rufford Park level last week so it cant be that bad.
As we all say "the swing is work in progress!!!"
