    Can Tour Caddie.

Well. Quite a few days I've had in Ontario again.

I spent the last few days being a real caddie for Matthew Carvell, a Sunshine Tour player from South Africa. Also, conviniently my boyfriend. (I was the best girlfriend ever this week)

Canadian Tour is pretty intense stuff, I was actually glad to be immersed in the serious competitive atmosphere. I'm pumped up for Futures Qualifying in November now.

    Round 1: -Nerves-
Pretty calm day, so hot about 40C. Played pretty good, unlucky break on the 14th made a triple and ended up shooting 1over (72) for the day. I thought we did well to get through the first day and get home

    Round 2: -Bad Breaks-
HOT! Putts wouldn't fall, bad breaks everywhere. (77) Personally I was a little worried after this one, I'm not the worlds best rebounder on the golf course and at this point it was looking like cards were going to be under par. Left after lots of practice and knowing there was LOTS of work to do

    Round 3: -Redemption-
Lets just say the day started with six 3's in a row. I thought that was pretty special I'd never seen that before. The putts were falling, we were hitting it close. Got a little sidetracked in the middle but pulled it together and put down a nice (65) right back in it!!

    Round 4: -Hurricane Earl-
Worst conditions I've ever played/been on a golf course in. Matt said it rivaled any day of Scottish golf (I'm not going to play there) 70k wind, and sideways rain. Boys were shooting sky high numbers. Sad day for quite a few as they shot themselves out of the tournament Matt fortunately shot himself in and earned a non-exempt card.

All in all, what a great trip and experience for me to be part of. I love watching people achieve what they set out to do and I got to watch be part of great golf all week! Off to Montreal tonight, then home to start practice again for Futures in 2 months.

    CPGA Womens Open.

    Hey all,

Well taking that it was my first tournament since November of 2009. I took a lot of positives away from the event in Ontario.

First day I felt like I'd never played a tournament in my life. I literally forgot how to approach shots in tournament play. I was terrified. I ended up wussying my way to a joyful 80. But I actually wasn't that upset considering I played like the most ginormous baby ever and didn't attack anything.

For day two I vowed to approach every shot with confidence and never hit when I wasn't 100% committed.

This all went well for 12 holes, even though I was constantly battling my driver from #1 on. I was level thru 12 and burning the edges so I was pleased that I was making good putts. Had a terrible stretch thru 13-15, driver got in a lot of trouble and ended up making a double and a few bogeys enroute to a nice 76 that could have been SO much better. I was pleased that I rebounded from those terrible three holes and found my swing on the last 3.

I have a ton of positives to take into my next tournament this weekend and then into tour school in the fall.

I also wore my nice pink Queen of the Green shirt today playing. Looking forward to getting much more of the line!

Check out this photo of me and my bestie who caddied for me at the event.

    aka Toronto.

    I've made my way here.

Fortunate that I get to go watch Roger Federer play tennis tomorrow night in the Rogers Cup here in the city. Really stoked to be seeing such a great athlete live in action.

CPGA Women's Open starts Tuesday, looking forward to teeing it up. My best friend from my college golf team is on the bag for me so I'm looking forward to pairing up with her and shooting some good numbers!

    Happy Golfings!

    First post!

    Hey everyone,

Can't tell you how excited I am to be part of the Bunker team. I've been an avid golf blogger since I went to college so this blog opportunity is nothing but enjoyable for me!

Sadly, its almost the end of my summer golf season which didn't get off to the hottest start since I was quite ill with Vertigo (balance disorder) imagine that and golfing so it put quite a dent in the first part of my season. I'm very thankful that its gone and I've been golfing great.

I still have two big upcoming events. (CPGA Women's Open in Ontario, Canada & Island Open, PEI, Canada) Then of course I have the oh so lovely Q-School in late October. I'm also thinking of adding the LET Tour qualifier to my schedule but haven't made confirmed plans yet. European golf is much more like East Coast Canadian golf, I think I'd fare out well overseas!

Happy golfing, looking forward to future posts!

    xx
